Hurry Up Spring!

“That is one good thing about this world…there are always sure to be more springs.” – L. M. Montgomery

Hi Everyone!

Hope you are having a wonderful week!

So today’s post seems to have turned out to be a bit of a mammoth one. Sorry about that!

I don’t know about you, but I am SO glad it is nearly March. These first few months of 2017, for me at least, have just really draaaaaaged… It’s just been so cold and grey and dreary and ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! IT’S TIME FOR SOME SUN ALREADY!!

So I had a day off today and literally spent the whooooleeeeee day day-dreaming of the long, sunny days that I feel are so almost here, yet still feel SO far away when I draw my curtains every morning to YET ANOTHER overcast and dreary day.

As the first few months of the year are rolling by and the magic of Christmas and New Year are fast fading, New year’s resoltuions are already down the drain as I sit here tapping away and munching down my second cupcake, it sometimes feels like this time of year just has nothing exciting to offer.

It all just feel somewhat drab.

Don’t get me wrong, I love a cosy, rainy day, snuggled with a hot chocolate and a movie during the chilly months of the year, but is is DEFINITELY time for a change. Time for picnics, long walks in the sun, daffodils, Easter-egg hunts and baking days where the only acceptable decorations for whatever comes out the oven is mini eggs!

The sun just makes everything so much more beautiful, brings it to life and just makes it SO much more vibrant! I can’t WAIT for the days when you can just head off exploring without bundling up in a zillion layers, Just a pic-nic, somewhere scenic, your camera, and you’re set! I could just do it day after day!

So to distract me from the exceedingly grey and dreary day outside, I decided to sift through some of my favourite springtime photographs, and it made me feel SO excited for the times of the year to come!

I hope you enjoy the photos and it makes you feel as warm and content an excited for spring as they made me! (especially if your day is as grey outside as mine is…)

Until next time lovely people!

Lots of Love,

P.s I have also linked the places in the photos at the end so if you like the look of any of them you can plan a trip come those glorious sunny days!

Adventure fueling!

All flower photographs above were taken at Isabella Plantation in Richmond Park. This beautiful enclosed garden is laden with flowers in the summer, it is my ultimate pic-nic location!

Summer berry brownie…how could I not include this in my wistful dreaming of spring!

This is one of my favourite photographs I’ve ever taken. I took it about 3 years ago. It just looks like the most peaceful thing in the world to me.

Shere Village Pub (fun fact the scene in the film ‘The Holiday’ with Cameron Diaz and Jude Law in the pub was filmed in this pub! It’s called the White Horse and does some of the best pies in Surrey in my humble pie opinion… (I hope you laughed at that joke that was one of my best!)
