Sunny Days and Oversized Shades – April Adventures

Well I’ve been falling off the blogging train at the moment haven’t I!! BAD LOTTIE!! It feels it has been aaages since I last posted buuuut I’M BACK!! Back with a brand new rap!! okay… maybe not rap… but I am back as per usual with an annoyingly alliterative blog post title! You lucky ducks!! I hope you are all well and are looking forward to a lovely Easter full of chocolatey egg deliciousness and fun!

So you may have noticed that lately I have been fond of starting my blog posts with a little relevant quote about the post topic, however, as all of the April quotes I googled seemed to all be about April showers and that is NOT what my sunny day post is about!! I’ve decided to start with  a nice little positive thinking quote – I always find I have a better day when it starts with a nice positive quote, don’t you! 😀

‘Happy are those who take life day by day, complain very little and are thankful for the little thing in life’

So recently I did a lot of explooring as THANK THE LORD ENGLAND GOT SOME SUN!! I know… we were all in shock, well shock and tiny t-shirts. SO of course it only felt right to grab my camera and head of to some exceptionally beautiful place to snap away in the sun. I of course have now ended up with a stupidly and probably disinterest causing-ly long post for you guys, but feel free to dip in and out!!

I went to West Green House which is a house and garden created by acclaimed garden designer and writer Marylyn Abbott, AKA one of the most magical gardens I have ever been to!! It was so beautiful, full of hidden treasures, walled gardens, flower laden archways, swan lakes and fairy bridges.  Oh and there is also the cutest FAIRY LIGHT LACED (you know how much I love a good string of fairy lights) cafe offering a whole range of home cooked deliciousness, cakes AND ice creams! (I had both… I mean it would have been rude not to plus the ice cream was strawberry and the cake was apple flavor so it was practically two of my five a day!! *gives self pat on the back*).

But yes if you are close to Surrey area I cannot recommend this place enough for a sunny day outing!I really loved it, I would quite happily hitch up a tent and live out the rest of my days there!! I believe in the summer they also have lots of events such as music evenings, garden operas and classic car shows so there is always ample reasons to return if the gorgeous gardens weren’t already reason enough to!

The first like gazillion pics are from WestGreen House but right at the end I have also added in a few from another recent spring evening stroll I took at Virginia waters one of my all time fave spots. I thought I’d pop them into this post as they kind of fit in with the spring time adventuring theme I’m kinda angling for, but there are only a few because I didn’t even have my camera just my phone, and then it died. lol I’m such a prepared photography blogger!! Haha!

SO without further ado, I will quit my rambling for now and leave you to have a peruse through my snaps of the day if you fancy! I hope you enjoy them and I will be back soon!
